One of the most terrible effect of leprosy is the debilitating and deforming wounds that the lepers suffers. While leprosy attacks the nerve sites and causes terrible pain, the lepers feel little pain at the actual wound sites since a lot of the nerves are no longer functioning. The results are wounds that are slow to heal and eat away the lepers’ bodies.
Wound care is an on-going mission we focus on stopping the spread and healing the wounds of the lepers.
