A Letter to The Friends of DLS, May 2016
For more than 20 years, we have brought joy and changes to the unfortunate people in Vietnam. Your generous contributions and loving commitments to help the poor have shone the mercy and goodness of God.

For the lepers, our desire has always been to alleviate their pain and sorrow; however, their most immediate needs are still education, clean water, food, clothing, shelter and medication. Providing clean water in the mountain areas where the lepers live is the most difficult task.
Along with providing food and shelter, we are helping the lepers to embrace a better future with opportunities for integration into a normal way of life. In the past years we have helped fund their children’s education. This year, specifically, we completed the water projects for village A and village B in Pleiku.
Most of the lerpers are homeless, and without food and proper sanitation; they have no future. Their pain and suffering has no end. Their feet have been so crippled that they cannot walk, and their hands have been so deformed that they cannot touch or even scratch an itch. They are voiceless; their lives are not much different than if they were dead.
