Damien the Leper Society was established in 1996, with an exclusive mission to  help the lepers.  We are a non-profit, tax exempt organization made up of volunteers.

Our mission focuses on the basic needs of  health, family, education, and shelter for the victims of leprosy. Curing the disease is most important, but that’s only the beginning. Our goal is to reduce the  pain, lift spirits, and
instill / enable self-reliance.

You can read me about us here.

Saint Damien, our patron and
namesake, was a missionary who gave his life caring for the poor, outcast lepers on the
Hawaiian island of Molokai.
Contracting the disease himself, St. Damien died a true martyr.
